5th/6th Grades 10/26/14
Dear Parents,
This Sunday we spent the first half of class having a discussion about Tzedakah. My students seemed particularly interested in the case of the homeless people they've seen, and whether it's good to give to them or not, as well as how much is the right proportion of one's income to give to charity. I think it was an interesting discussion, and I hope to have more on that topic. After enjoying some music with Michael, we watched a video about the story of Noah (included in last week's Torah portion) and discussed that age-old question: what does it mean that Noah was "righteous/pure in his generations?"
If you feel it we be edifying, please do remind your kids to consider bringing Tzedakah next week.
Best Wishes for a Good Week,
Daniel
