General topic: Purim.

Goals:

• To introduce children to the meaning, traditions and customs of the holiday, Purim.

• To introduce the story of Purim and its characters.

• To introduce the tradition of making hamentaschen.

Story: Purim story.

Art: Making hamentaschen collage out of construction paper.

Sing Along with Michael: Singing songs for Purim.

Suggestion for family activities: Discuss with children why it is important to be brave as Queen Esther in our days.
