Dear First/Second Grade Families,
On Sunday, we had a great time talking about and celebrating the beauty and wonders of nature. We learned that there are special blessings and prayers that are said for certain actions — like washing our hands, eating or waking up — while others are recited to honor emotions or sights. Each child created their own book of blessings that shows gratitude toward nature (i.e. rainbows, fragrant trees, thunderstorms and sunsets). Please ask your child to share with you the book s/he made and to recite/talk about some of the prayers that are mentioned.
Shavua tov,
Nia
