6th Grade 2/9/14

The 6th grade class this Sunday studied the founding of Israel, a dramatic 24 hour scene that could have come from an action movie:

Israel declares itself to be an independent state, just moments later President Truman makes a speech officially recognizing Israel, the next morning the soldiers of all the surrounding Arab states march towards Israel's weakly-defended borders. The 1984 war of independence has begun.

After class, we wrote a short rap about this story. We hope to be producing a video soon.
